It seems a bit incredible that during the long arduous journey through this 2008 elections anyone at all would question Obama's motives for taking time off to go to Hawaii to see his ailing grandmother who played a major roll in his life. It's astounding really.
And unfortunately the why's have been answered today when it was announced that Obama's grandmother passed away.
It's all good, worrying about our country, our finance, our day-to-day lives but at one point we need to stop and remember that no matter the way the election will go, we are all human beings and that when we lose someone we love, it hurts no matter if you're a Democrat or a Republican, black or white, gay or straight. No one should have wondered for his reasoning's for going and seeing his grandmother in the first place and now, those same people (I hope) are feeling like the heels they are.
My condolences go out to the Obama family as well as my prayers.
